Twenty stalls in HCMC’s Ben Thanh Market have been found to sell fake Nike shoes and T-shirts, the southern anti-counterfeit association announced Friday.

The association also publicized the 20 names to alert shoppers, especially foreign tourists, as the market is a popular stop on city tours.

Many of the stalls even sold fake Nike products in wholesale, the association said.

Authorities were probing the origin of the duplicate products, it said.

A company representative revealed most Nike shoes and T-shirts being sold at markets and even some shopping centers like Saigon Square and Intershop were fake.
